Nagashima-jinja Shrine holds this ritual regularly in the middle of January. The ritual has lasted from Edo era to pray for fishing harvest. People on the float imitate the scene of catching Katsuo, throwing candy as bait, march from Nagashima Port to Nagashima-jinja Shrine.
