Hana-no-Iwaya is the oldest shrine in Japan according to the book “Nihon Shoki (Chronicles of Japan)”. The “suspension ritual” where people use ropes to cover terrain from the top of 45m tall rock, object of shrine sacrifice, is worth seeing.
