Sekibune festival has lasted from Edo era each 3rd Sunday in October in Hikimoto area to pray for fishing harvest and sailing safety, and is regular festival in Hikimoto Shrine. It is named after the boat lifted during the parade which is said to have beaten Kumano Beach pirates.
