Around 1588, Toyotomi Hidenaga's retainer, Todo Takatora, built a castle to control Kitayama Ikki. The ruins of the castle well preserve the architectural structure of the Tensho period and show the prototype of the modern castle. Designated as an international historical site.

In addition to exhibiting trucks and mining equipment actually used at the Kishu Coal Mine in Kiwa Town, a large amount of ore was also exhibited. You can also see and learned Iruka Blacksmith' swords and the Oshoya at that time.

A mine truck train runs through a 1km tunnel that connects Iruka Onsen and Yunoguchi Onsen.
